Wow… it’s been a while. And I’ve thought a lot about how to come back here, what to say, how to say it…

But honestly, I’ll speak with the hardcore truth, cause thats what Modern Money is all about. And do read til the end, cause I have exciting news to share (mini jumps of excitement here, yes I am that excited)

I usually talk about what’s happening in the markets and share insights to help you make bold money moves.

By day, I’m a fintech finance leader.

By night, half awake entreprenuer.

Always, I’m a proud Latina.

A loving wife

And since September 2025… I’m also a mom.

💭 These past months, I’ve been very… present.

With my daughter (my motivation)
With returning to work (which I genuinely love).
With a new team I’m building.
With home life, which now revolves around naps, purees, and tiny human logistics.

They say it takes a village and now I fully get it.

In our case, it looks like 3-hour shifts between me, my husband, my father-in-law, and his partner…

Coordinating naps like a military operation…

Figuring out solids…

And then the nights where she doesn’t sleep.

And I don’t sleep.

And I discovered postpartum insomnia is, in fact, very real. (No one quite prepares you for that).

I could go on. But you get the point. Life has been full.

But here’s the thing. All of last year I was dreaming of a concept. A room full of women talking about different money topics.

So this month, something inside me clicked (maybe the lack of sleep took away parts of the imposter syndrome we all get 😅) and I decided to make it a reality.

✨ Introducing: Money Talks

And it’s exactly what it sounds like. Not a panel. Not a polished talk.

Just a real conversation, like sitting down for coffee and actually saying the things we usually keep to ourselves.

I’ll be chatting with the one and only Anais Cisneros (Founder of Amela, ex-VC, ex consultant, INSEAD MBA). Her company, a global platform for entrepreneurs, has trespassed the German boarders to UK, Spain, Mexico, Peru, Colombia.

And we’ll talk about:

• what building a company really looks like financially
• how money shows up in power and leadership
• the money decisions founders don’t usually say out loud

And you’ll be part of it too: questions, thoughts, curiosity, all of it.

This one feels special to me.

Maybe because it’s the first thing I’m putting out into the world… again.

Maybe because it’s the kind of conversation I wish I had access to earlier.

Or maybe just because it’s… real.
